Updates and Features (Dec. 2 2012)

Sorry guys, I think that once again this is getting out really late.  I think I might change it to be updates and features that are at LEAST once a month, possibly less if we have a special update or if a certain artist in particular catches my eye.  

The first thing that I want to point out is that I've added a new folder to the group.  It's called the "Seeking Artists" folder.  Since this is a commissions group, I thought that we should add something that lets all of our wonderful artists know when people are looking for something for them to draw.  I've seen a lot of comments on our homepage asking for artists to commission, but I'm afraid that a lot of those comments aren't seen by the majority of the people in this group.  So this is my little solution--whoever wants to find someone for a commission, an art trade, or anything of the sort, write something up and send it to that folder!  It can be a journal or a Deviation of text.  That way the artists who want to find business can go into that folder and check out some of the requests, and those of you who want to find someone for your commission can get this into artists' inboxes.  Tell me if you think this is a good idea or if you doubt that it will be used because if it's not used I'll most likely just get rid of it.

Also, I have a little something that I'd like to ask of you guys.  Recently we've had a few people sending in absolutely everything that they had into the gallery, so Sang and I ended up with a few hundred deviations to improve all from one person.  This has happened a few times, but never in this bulk.  I really don't want to set a limit on the number of things you can submit to the group in a week or a day because I know it can get annoying to be blocked out like that.  But if this keeps happening I might have to.  To prevent that, I'm asking you all right now to please, please not spam the group with everything that you've ever done.  Submit the deviations that you are most proud of and that you think best represents your skills as an artist, because if we see dozens of pieces from one person at a time we'll start rejecting them all.

Anyway, let's move onto the features that we have this session!  Let me remind you guys that Featured Artists can submit 3 or 4 of your best works to the Featured folder!

No doubt you've seen some of their work recently in your inboxes.  I think you can definitely see this person's awesome style if you guys want chibi commissions such as this!  I've looked through a few of their journals and they've had a few sales, and even if you don't want to commission them this person's definitely worth a watch!

I think we can all agree that this person's art is just awesome.  I've included a few of their different styles that I've seen while looking through their gallery--they have incredible talent at both realistic and chibi art.  And their art is incredibly reasonably priced.  Like--those most detailed pieces of art are only 100 points!  Their commissions are on hold for the moment, but keep an eye out because I think that a commission from them is never a bad idea!

I really like this style, and you can see how consistantly awesome Iyuse makes their art!  Currently they have a Kiriban at 5,555 and have some open commission slots!  Go and check them out.

All our featured artists this session are pretty awesome, and I hope you guys give them the attention they deserve!  I hope the three of you submit some art to our Featured folder!
